From what Ive heard and thats from some of the players, Scott is going to try and keep the team going for at least this season, hes asked players to find teams and if they cant then he will still pay them what he can. This means alot of the team is leaving as I know at least 5 imports who are leaving before the end of Jan.

Can we swear on this forum? No fear anyway guys BigDazz is all signed up Anyhoo I think its crap. We cant lose hockey in Edinburgh it would be horrid. Why doesn't he sell or attempt to sell? an owner may be interested keeping him on as GM? IMO its Scott Neils fault and no one can say any different. Yes the weather has screwed us over this month BUT has it stopped fans of football attending their games (except the P ones)... No not really Hearts attendances are still doing fine and well hibs haven't had a home game in this shite weather. The problem is the team hasn't been sold well enough to the team to make fans find diff ways of travelling if there car is unable to get them to the rink. Forever a caps fan but Neil isnt able to afford this club any more and is going to have to constantly rely on fans dipping in mid season.

Lots of good ideas put up by fans but geting posted on the Caps forum is as far as they get, again why not the booster idea? I would gladly sign up for say £10 a month just to help keep the team in exsistance, I know its the same fans pumping money in but the reality is possibly no team, even if only 100 fans signed up thats £12,000 per year.

Dont get me wrong I know barely anyone would want to buy the club BUT it needs to happen. Yeah the snow hasnt helped the crowds this month but they arent exactly that great anyways. Dundee can pull in around 1000 and according to my mate who attends the Dundee Uni up there its due to there marketing around Dundee. A special deal for £200 of a season pass and a hockey top is offered to all students now that is amazing - a caps season ticket alone is just under £230.

This has to be an ego trip of Scott Neil's - I mean, can you imagine a similar scene at Rangers for example:
David Murray to the fans: Well guys, it's like this. Attendances haven't been good this season and money's tight so we're setting up a Christmas Cup game against, eh, Dundee Utd so please come along and swell our coffers. Fans: You must be joking. You need to invest some capital or sling yer hook. DM: Maybe you could sell some shirts on eBay. I mean, the Edinburgh Capitals fans do that, and they clubbed together and paid for the air ticket for one of the imports. Fans: Aye, right. Sell up to somebody who has the cash to take the club forward. DM: But if you don't cough up the club will go to the wall. Fans: Sell up before we string you up from the nearest lamp post.
It's a chicken and egg thing - fans will come back if the product on the ice is good and we're competing, but SN doesn't have the money to invest - well STEP ASIDE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE TAKE US FORWARD!!!!! We'll name a stand after you as a thank you for what you've done - but JUST GO!!!!!

By the way, I think it's a great idea to offer a debenture-like scheme to fans. A direct debit of a tenner a month say, gets you a replica shirt at the end of the season. £20 a month also gets you a free programme at home games, £30 a month also gets you a shirt sponsorship - call them Gold, Silver, Bronze debentures.
Just as long as it wasn't throwing good money after bad!

You know, after all this, if the Caps fold, I think SN will be sitting there blaming the fans for lack of support. He seems to think that we haven't tried our utmost to get folk through the doors and he also seems to believe we have bottomless pots of money to plough into his lost cause whereas he has already announced that he won't commit any of his own money to them.
Well sorry but my days of donating, buying, sponsoring etc are over.
AND SCOTT, it's primarily down to you, not to the marvellous fans who have supported through all the appeals for more money so the club can pay for air fares, visa etc etc.!!
